Parade Awards or Trophy Categories

There is absolutely nothing official about any of these categories. So this article is designed to provide ideas and "food for thought" when planning a parade that will have recognition and trophies for participants. Award categories for parades can vary greatly based on the purpose, holiday, theme, and size.

A few ideas for themes include: nature & flowers, animals, green energy, local history, old west, former decades such as the 20's or 60"s, birth of a nation (revolution), celebrating our safety personnel and defenders, imagination & cartoons, world or national heros, celebrating local heroes, film, TV, music, and athletics are a place to begin. Certainly you will consider parades for specific holidays or local events you are celebrating.

Here's list organized in a way that it should be useful. I'm sure you will add to this based upon the uniqueness of your event. We have also listed on the left, some groups that may be overlooked, but you may want to inite to participate in your parade.
